Privacy Policy

Short version: Deal Dhoom collects very little data, and nothing you do here is sold to anyone.

What we collect

• Deal clicks. When you tap “Grab this deal”, we record which deal was clicked, a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (we do not store the IP itself), your browser type, and the page you came from. This is only used to count clicks per deal.
• Contact emails. If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs (pages requested, timestamps) for security and diagnostics. We do not combine these with anything else.

What we do not collect

• No user accounts and no registration. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No advertising cookies and no third-party analytics on the public site.
• No precise location data.

Cookies

The public site does not set cookies in your browser. (An admin sign-in cookie exists, but it is only ever set for the site’s own administrators on the admin panel, never for visitors.) Your view preferences, such as grid or list layout, are stored only in your own browser’s local storage and never sent to us.

Affiliate links and third parties

Deal pages link out to third-party retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and others. Once you leave Deal Dhoom, that retailer’s privacy policy applies. We do not control it, so give it a read if it matters to you.

Data retention

Click records are kept in aggregate form to understand which deals are useful. Contact emails are kept only as long as the conversation needs. If you want a message you sent us deleted, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Write to the address above and we will respond.

Children

Deal Dhoom is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
